Maloney Multiflex MCS Casing End Seal

EndsealThe accordion-bellows design of this end seal permits movement of the carrier pipe without damage to the seal. Its unique design facilitates installation and prevents damage from backfill. Multiflex End Seals are available in sizes from 2″ x 4″ through 42″ x 48″. Multiflex End Seals are made of oil-and water-resistant rubber, specially compounded and molded by Maloney for strength and resiliency. Where it fits over the end of the casing, the seal is 3/8″ thick and the minimum thickness over the balance is 3/16″. Circumferential ribs molded in the inner surface, where the bands squeeze the seal against the casing and carrier pipes, increase the contact pressure and insure a tight joint.To install, end seal is slipped on to the carrier pipe before the tie-weld is made. After installing the carrier pipe in the casing, the seals are secured using 1/2″ wide stainless steel bands (provided with each seal). Bands have rounded edges to protect seals and are easily tightened with pliers.

MALONEY WRAP AROUND SEAL

Maloney Wrap Around Seals are designed for use when existing casings require modification or extension and zippers are not required. Easy to install, the Wrap Around Seal simply wraps around the existing casing pipe and carrier pipe, and is the extra width of the sheet rubber is simply lapped over the other end width. The overlapped material provides the seal for the Wrap Around Seal, although not as tight a seal as with the Maloney Multiflex Molded End Seal or the Maloney Zipper Seal.

Maloney Wrap Around Seals are made from 1/8” tough, oil and water resistant sheet rubber. The material is strong and provides necessary movement (flexibility) the casing pipe and carrier pipe. The Wrap Around Seal can be fabricated to any size to meet unusual installation requirements.

After cleaning the area around the end of the casing, the Zipper Seal is wrapped around both the carrier pipe and casing pipe, then zipped shut. The Seal is then secured on both ends with ½” stainless steel “band-it” clips (two bands are provided with each seal). A telescoping fold should be place in the seal before banding to assure proper flexibility between the carrier pipe and the casing pipe.

MALONEY ZIPPER SEAL

Maloney Zipper Seals are designed for use when existing casings require modification or extension. Easy to install, the Zipper Seal simply wraps around the existing casing pipe and carrier pipe, then zips shut to provide a tight seal while allowing for movement of the pipe. The Zipper Seal may also be used in new construction as an alternative to the Multiflex Molded End Seal.

Maloney Zipper Seals are made from 1/8” tough, oil and water resistant sheet rubber. The material is strong and provides necessary movement (flexibility) the casing pipe and carrier pipe. The Zipper Seal can be fabricated to any size to meet unusual installation requirements. Stainless steel zipper is attached to the rubber sheet by a high-performance adhesive, creating a permanent attachment. A rubber protective strip is extended under the zipper to prevent damage or abrasion to pipe.

After cleaning the area around the end of the casing, the Zipper Seal is wrapped around both the carrier pipe and casing pipe, then zipped shut. The Seal is then secured on both ends with ½” stainless steel “band-it” clips (two bands are provided with each seal). A telescoping fold should be place in the seal before banding to assure proper flexibility between the carrier pipe and the casing pipe
